THE MISSION
I’m so glad you’re here to learn more about BB&B’s Cradles to Crayons® Gear Up for Winter Drive! Cradles to Crayons® (C2C) is the largest national nonprofit dedicated to putting an end to Children's Clothing Insecurity by providing millions of packages of essentials like clothing, shoes, diapers, and school supplies to children who don't have access to these critical resources.
Last year, I decided to team up with C2C of Philadelphia by organizing a Winter Essentials Drive to help children in need within the Greater Philadelphia area. During the month of December, my family, friends and BB&B community were able to donate 570 items to children/families in need in the Greater Philadelphia area!!! I was truly blown away! This was an incredible learning experience for my daughter, Riley, and I’m thrilled to continue this special tradition with her!

THE NEED
Winter in the Greater Philadelphia area can be brutally cold. With energy costs skyrocketing over the past year, many households face “heat or eat” decisions this winter. Unlike food and diaper choices, families cannot change their heating source, giving them no cheaper option to switch to when money is tight. 85% of Cradles to Crayons® (C2C) Service Partners report that without C2C, they would not be able to provide basic children’s essentials at no cost to the families they work with.
With more than 300,000 children in Greater Philadelphia living in low-income and homeless situations where the cost of a winter coat and boots is often beyond reach, facing winter without the essentials required for health and safety is a challenge. With your help we can ensure we are ready to keep Philadelphia children safe and warm this winter.
