THE MISSION
I’m so glad you’re here to support BB&B’s Cradles to Crayons® Gear Up for Winter Drive! Cradles to Crayons® (C2C) is the largest national nonprofit dedicated to ending Children’s Clothing Insecurity by providing millions of essential items—warm clothing, shoes, diapers, coats, hats, gloves, and school supplies—to children who need them most.
This is our third year running this drive, and every single year I am genuinely blown away by your generosity. Last season, our BB&B community, along with my family and friends, donated over 600 winter essentials to children and families across the Greater Philadelphia area. Your kindness continues to move me.
This year feels even more special, because my daughter is now old enough to volunteer at The Giving Factory in Philadelphia. She and I will be volunteering together and personally delivering all of your donations. It’s incredibly meaningful to share this experience with her—and with all of you!
To make sure kids receive their essentials as early as possible, we’re kicking off the drive sooner and wrapping up by Sunday, December 12th!

THE NEED
Winter in the Greater Philadelphia area can be brutally cold. With energy costs skyrocketing over the past year, many households face “heat or eat” decisions this winter. Unlike food and diaper choices, families cannot change their heating source, giving them no cheaper option to switch to when money is tight. 85% of Cradles to Crayons® (C2C) Service Partners report that without C2C, they would not be able to provide basic children’s essentials at no cost to the families they work with.
With more than 300,000 children in Greater Philadelphia living in low-income and homeless situations where the cost of a winter coat and boots is often beyond reach, facing winter without the essentials required for health and safety is a challenge. With your help we can ensure we are ready to keep Philadelphia children safe and warm this winter.
