Chapter & Meet-Up Policies

At Books, Brunches & Booze®, we believe that real-life community is everything. When people come together—over stories, shared interests, and good conversation—they unlock new friendships, ideas, and experiences. Our mission is to make those meaningful connections possible.

To ensure a consistent, safe, and inspiring experience across all chapters, we ask that all members and hosts follow the guidelines below.

Create Opportunities for Growth

BB&B Meet-Ups should offer value—personally, socially, or intellectually. This can mean:

  • Meeting new people and building friendships

  • Volunteering or giving back

  • Exploring new places or experiences

  • Supporting and encouraging one another

  • Pursuing passions and shared interests

Foster Real Human Connection

BB&B is about connection—not just promotion. Events must prioritize creating a positive, engaging experience for attendees, not serving as a vehicle for sales or advertising. Great events often include:

  • Thoughtful discussions and shared perspectives

  • Adventures or outings that push comfort zones

  • Fun and interactive group activities

  • Tours, workshops, or speaker-led conversations

  • Games or social mixers that bring people together

Attendees should leave BB&B Meet-Ups feeling uplifted, connected, or inspired.

Meet In Real Life

BB&B is built on in-person community. While digital tools help organize and connect, chapters must host local, real-life Meet-Ups. Our platform is not intended for purely virtual groups, webinars, or conference calls.

Be Clear & Transparent

Honesty builds trust. Chapter and event names, descriptions, and communications must accurately reflect:

  • The nature and focus of your events

  • Any requirements for participation

  • Any associated costs or fees

If BB&B receives reports of misrepresentation or misleading chapter descriptions, we may remove the chapter at our sole discretion.

Prohibited Chapter & Event Types

While BB&B celebrates a wide range of interests and communities, we do not support certain themes due to safety, ethical, or legal concerns. Chapters and events found to fall into the categories below may be removed at our discretion.

This includes conspiracy theories that deny or diminish the lived suffering of specific groups.

✘ Underage Participation

All BB&B members and hosts must be 21 years or older. Chapters and events must be exclusively targeted to individuals aged 21+.

✘ Misleading or Hidden Agendas

Chapters must not:

  • Deliberately spread false or deceptive information
